Abby Bentley grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  With a longstanding interest in law, Abby pursued her legal studies at Capital University Law School, graduating in 2024.  She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in the same year.

Professional Experience
While completing her undergraduate studies, Abby gained valuable experience working for law firms in Athens, Ohio. During law school, Abby further developed her legal skills working in the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office, where she assisted with the defense of clients for criminal offenses, DUI/OVI charges, serious vehicular crimes, and traffic violations.  It was during this time she realized her passion for criminal defense, which ultimately became the focus of her legal career.

Continuing Education
Ms. Bentley understands the value of continually increasing her expertise in criminal defense.  Accordingly, she attends continuing education courses in the areas of criminal law, DUI / OVI, and traffic crimes.

Abby completed the same course as police officers: DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. She knows how police are supposed to investigate DUI/OVI, and she knows when they fail to comply with their training.

Abby Bentley is a graduate of the Serious Science course presented by the National College for DUI Defense. It is an intensive six-day courses which fuses forensic science and trial advocacy. It includes hands-on training with the equipment used in Ohio for testing of blood and urine. Only a few attorneys from Ohio have completed this course, and Abby is one of them.

Personable, Punctual, Professional, Promt, Connected!
Atty. Abagale is very professional, punctual, and closely backed by experienced attorneys in her firm. She filed everything that needed to be filed very quickly! The county issued me an ALS and was trying to tack on extra charges. Atty. Abagale was able to secure for me limited driving privileges while finding procedural traffic stop errors. She was also able to get a favorable hearing date for me. After she attacked the prosecution with motions, the county made a “clerical error” when the state trooper decided not to ignore the subpoena. The case was resolved on the first and only official hearing because we were prepared to fight the case. I was able to deny a reckless driving offer, plead guilty for speeding (only 6 mph over, and to avoid trial), and get the OVI and ALS dropped. Atty.
